ABOUT THE FOUNDER & CEO: JESSICA BIERMAN

I am the Founder and CEO of JBIER Inc., a New York-based, woman-owned fashion-tech startup at the intersection of global business, luxury fashion, beauty, retail, e-commerce, entrepreneurship, higher education, experiential learning, and career development.

For nearly two decades, I have built my career across corporate and entrepreneurial environments, including The Estée Lauder Companies, MAC Cosmetics, Macy’s Inc., Rodan + Fields, and Adrienne Landau Designs. I also bring more than eight years of experience in career coaching and mentorship. My expertise spans executive leadership, program building, strategic partnerships and business development, merchandising and brand strategy, digital commerce and operations, consumer insights and analytics, talent development, and organizational growth.

JBIER has established 150+ university partnerships and 550+ university career-center relationships, attracted 30,000+ applications, supported 160+ program graduates, and achieved a reported 90% job-placement rate. JBIER alumni have advanced to leading organizations including TJX Companies, Burlington Stores, Coach, Ross Stores, Saks Fifth Avenue, Centric Brands, Disney, Condé Nast, and Sephora.

Today, I lead an integrated business and learning ecosystem spanning JBIER Boutique, the JBIER Fashion Internship Program (FIP), and the Career Acceleration Program (CAP). Together, they connect consumer-facing commerce, interdisciplinary experiential learning, and employer-informed career-development programming.

JBIER was built on the belief that meaningful work can change how emerging professionals see themselves, expand the career possibilities they envision, and shape the future they feel empowered to create. Through learning by doing, company priorities become industry-connected, project-based, competency-focused, portfolio-building experiences across creative, commercial, digital, operational, and people functions.

JBIER Boutique powers the model through live multichannel fashion, beauty, and resale operations grounded in sustainability and circular commerce. As active contributors, students engage with authentic business challenges, data-informed performance insights, and measurable outcomes. FIP creates a multiyear pathway from early career exploration through applied learning, co-op readiness, leadership development, and alumni engagement. CAP brings employer, recruiter, executive, and entrepreneurial perspectives directly into the student experience through workshops, mock interviews, coaching, panels, events, and individualized career guidance.

My leadership is grounded in curiosity, inclusive collaboration, and ethical action. I am most energized by building what does not yet exist, taking new ideas from early working models through launch, growth, and scale, and exploring how responsible AI, immersive digital commerce, and fashion-tech innovation can reshape learning, work, and retail.

My mission as JBIER’s founder is centered on equipping emerging leaders with the self-awareness, agile mindset, problem-solving skills, global perspective, professional networks, and applied experience to recognize what they can contribute, turn potential into impact, navigate change with confidence, and lead responsibly.
